The Wall Wombats have achieved another first for the club. They have become the first team from the club to qualify for the highest level in the country (USYS National League). In each of the four Regions across the country 2 teams are chosen to play in this highly competitive league. The Wombats and PA Strikers are the Region One teams chosen to play. The list of teams from across the other Regions is as follows;  Region III Dallas Texans 94 Red - Dallas, TX, D'Feeters '94 (NTX), Region II Michigan Hawks 94 - Black (MI), NSA Fury (IL), Region IV San Diego Surf 93-94 White (CAS), San Juan Spirit 94 Blue (CAN).

The teams will play at 3 of the highest profile College Showcase events this November thru March. Playing at the Raleigh Shootout and Disney College Showcase in December. Then in March the team will be making a West Coast trip to Las Vegas or LA for another exciting showcase.

Congratulations to Cassidy Benintente, Christina Camassa, and Andie Lakin of the Wombats U13 team for making the Region One 94’ ODP team. They each competed this past week at training camp and were chosen to play on the Region One team. Great job ladies, you’ve made us all proud. Good job to Morgan Thomasian from the Wombats who made it to 93'or 94’ Regional ODP Camp. The Wall Wombats placed 4 on Regional teams. The girls and their teammates will now prepare for the US Club National Championships which take place the last weekend in July.

 

 In great fashion the Wall Wombats defended their US Club NJ Cup Championship. In the semi-final the Wombats defeated the NJ Rangers 6-0. Then in the final vs. GAK the Wombats proved why they are considered to be one of the top teams in Country defeating them 4-1. In Wombat fashion, they just wore out the GAK team with their constant pressure and support for 70 minutes. Next up for the Wombats is REGIONAL Tournament for US Club in NY over Memorial Day.

Wall Wild WOMBATS U13 Girls - Win Wild Card Draw and get berth in USYS National Tournament. New Jersey to send MLU Power and Wall Wild Wombats to Maine for U13 girls bracket. This will be the first time since 1985 that a Wall Soccer Club team participates in the USYS Regional tournament. Usually only the State Cup Champion and or Region One league Champion goes to this event, but at U13 they pick one Wild Card and The Wall Wild Wombats were lucky enough to Win that DRAW.

Wall Wild Wombats preparing for challenging Spring season playing a year up at JAGS U14

In an effort to enhance the team development and speed of play they have applied to play in the JAGS league in the older age group. The Wild Wombats were accepted and are looking forward to the tough competition from the older more physical teams at U14. They will still be playing the grueling U13 top tournament schedule as well this spring.
